Dashboard updates - April 2024

In response to feedback from our dashboard users, two modest improvements have been made to Safeguarding Dashboards.

The meaning of amber and red lights

Several parishes asked if they could have advance notice of an action being required.  For example, if a policy needs to be reviewed by the PCC, they wanted to be notified three months before it expires.

In response to this request, we have changed the meaning of the dashboard lights to:

  • Green - no action is needed during the next three months
  • Amber - advance notice that an action will soon be required
  • Red - an action is overdue

A green light will turn amber three months before an action is required.  An amber light will turn red when an action is overdue.

Amber lights are to be expected, but a parish should aim to have no red lights.

Review dates

All dashboard questions need to be reviewed from time to time.

In most cases the dashboard asked when a question was last reviewed, but this was not always the case.

We have therefore added review dates to nine more questions.  Read more
