Mandatory RequirementsThe Basic Awareness and Foundation Pathways must both be completed before anyone undertakes the PSO Induction Pathway. The PSO Induction Pathway is mandatory for Parish Safeguarding Officers appointed from January 2022 onwards. |
Notes of clarificationThe PSO Induction Pathway is delivered by your diocesan safeguarding team. Wherever possible, it must be completed within six months of a Parish Safeguarding Officer being appointed to their role. Once completed, this training does not need to be repeated. Good practiceThe PSO Induction Pathway is also recommended for Parish Safeguarding Officers appointed before January 2022.
